Kayla's Korner Child Enrichment Center also offer free group mentoring services for students enrolled. Community Advancement Through Mentoring, Inc. a local nonprofit Organization founded by Nikishiea McKnight delivers an evidence based curriculum to students enrolled. The goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope for the future.
In an effort to improve their lives & bring awareness to the many different challenges that our children face daily, topics such as bullying, self-esteem, being respectful, hygiene & healthy eating, community involvement, expressing anger correctly and a host of other topics are discussed. The curriculum is taught to students by Nikishiea McKnight in a group setting with peers their age.
